Starting today, my L61 Warlock has been getting hammered by Damned necrotic damage, regardless of the area or what kind of attack I’m using. I do inflict Damned damage, but it’s never affected me or my minions before. I normally use curses with Hungering Souls and a few minions. I’ve tested not using any attacks except for the minions, but it doesn’t matter.
Since I haven’t changed any gear, or made any upgrades to my skills/passives, I’m at a loss to figure out why this just started happening. I’ve been running this character pretty much every day for at least a week; this is the first bug I’ve encountered.
It would help if you posted your build, so people could examine it and try to figure out why that’s happening. There haven’t been updates in over 2 weeks, so it’s not likely that, but it might be some node you added without realizing.
Or, if not, then people will confirm that it shouldn’t be happening and you can post in Bug Reports.
Thanks for the info. I was able to figure it out. I had just added the 3rd point to Aspect of Death, which I didn’t read carefully enough. And since I have a couple of sources of Damned procs, it was kicking my butt pretty good.
Yeah, that happens. When in doubt just post your build and the community will help you figure out what could be causing things.
It will also help more if you post on the class category, rather than the general one, since that might increase its visibility from some members which are more knowledgeable in the mechanics.
