Damage of raging soul from Imperial Pyromancer in Soulfire Bastion

Unfortunately I don’t have a screenshot but I just need to know if this is intended or not because this is the second time I’ve died to this one particular monster in HC. Both times I’ve been max capped fire res and I don’t understand why this one random mob monster does significantly much more damage than anything else in that dungeon. In one instance it was in the Tier 1 version and it over killed by like 1000 (I was like 35 at the time, had 0 issues before randomly getting one shot from this mob) and the second time was in the tier 2 version and I got over killed by like 11k damage. Both characters were paladins and I had good health. I understand there’s a dungeon mechanic to switch between fire and necrotic immunity but I really hope this isn’t designed to instantly kill you if you happen to not have the correct one active at the time. I legit just want to know if this is actually intended or a bug.

I think something is up here. I have an extremely tanky Void Knight build in endgame, and I just got one shot for 18k+ by Raging Soul. Even with this being on the second floor of the dungeon and the monsters getting the floor buff, it doesn’t seem like a homing missile that’s easy to miss in mob packs should be able to hit this hard on a tanky build.

A workaround for now is just to keep the shield on fire mode in the dungeon. As long as you have good necrotic resistance, there are no necrotic attacks that hit anywhere close to as hard even from the rares/champions.

I’m seeing the same behavior and definitely believe it to be bugged. I went into arbor for the first time right after completing campaign, then again at lvl 77.

2200 health, 75% fire res vs Tier 1 Arbor and these guys were still one tapping me.

I experimented with all other mobs I could find and nothing else came anywhere close to being a threat.

There is an identical spell of the Necrotic variety which also does negligible damage, so it seems like something is wrong with the fire variant

Definitely bugged. Currently ran the T1 version and I got one shot for 8k damage with 9k overkill damage. Trash mobs dealing multiple times the damage of an Aberroth slam? That’s not right.

Same thing just happened to me. Max Fire Resistance, level 48 HC Spriggan Druid running tier 1. Was rolling fire immunity through most of the dungeon. Saw a good amount of green so switched for half a second and boom, 9k damage in one hit. Any report this and get their char back?

Major game breaking bugs all around. The kind of bugs that should have been fixed day 1 or 2 because of how egregious they are. Several skill nodes are not working as per the wording or not at all and I am only playing 1 class.

I have also gotten 1 shotted by the same mob several time until I gave up entirely on doing that dungeon. I thought there is something I must be doing wrong but there it is, just another game breaking bug.

Killed by Raging Soul in soulfire bastion with immunity and no warning

I just had the same experience. I am a level 85 Sentinel. I have 120% fire res. 7657 armour (82% reduction), 30% fire taken as phys, 100% reduced extra damage from crits. I also have passively just under 1k life regen, with leech, on hit and healing spells. Finally I take global reduced damage from enemies.

I was killed in one hit from a pyromancer in a level 40 dungeon. This was my first death and I have killed Ubers deathless…

Its just egregious that they have still not ether fixed this major game breaking issue or disabled the dungeon until they do. Allowing Hardcore players to die to this non sense is a disgrace to the Arpg community.

I am having the same issues, i cant really tell when i die /what kills me.

You pretty much have to run the dungeon with perma firesshield mode on, else you get 1 tapped by the pyromancers. Minion builds struggle with it too as all your minions get one-tapped.
