Damage & Healing Filter, similar to Loot Filter

Currently, all damage and healing from all sources is grouped together and we only have the option to show or hide everything.

It would be nice if we could filter the damage and healing to only show numbers we are actually interested in monitoring.

I recently tried Elemental Burst from the Spellblade passive tree but I can’t actually see how much damage it does, in a screen full of numbers making it difficult to know whether points have been spent well or not.

I play with damage numbers off as I find it less cluttered on the screen, but would show them more if we had the following options :

  1. Show (and store) highest crit only, and/or crits above a threshold value. This would stop the screen being full of crits, but when you make a biggy, it shows you. It can be hard, testing at the dummy, to see your highest crit from a sea of crits.

  2. Separate damage figures for dots. Currently, all dots are lumped together and show as a single value. If I increase my ignite chance, it is almost impossible to see where the uplift in numbers is, making it difficult to see the benefits/drawbacks after making changes to passives, skills or items. I have found myself speccing completely out of 1 dot to measure the independent effect of another because I can’t see separate dot values.

  3. Ability to only show damage, or only dots, or only health gain etc or variations … show only dots and health gain, show only crits and dots etc. Needs to be nice and flexible.

  4. Show ward on hit - currently, this can only really be measured by watching your ward pool go up and down.

  5. Ability to colour code damage types, especially dots so we can see what portion of a combined dot number is made up from dot a and dot b etc. For instance, ignite in orange, poison in light green, frostbite in light blue. The list of colours from Loot Filter would probably be sufficient.

  6. Ability to colour code different sources of the same damage type. For instance, the cold damage from Shatter Strike being able to be coloured differently to the cold damage of Elemental Blast, making it much easier to see which is which.

As it stands, all we can really do right now is to make changes to our character and then go out and kill stuff to see how it “feels”.

It would be really nice to be ale to focus in more on damage and healing so we can refine our builds better.
