Hi I would like to suggest an improvement to how damage is displayed in-game.
To describe my problem is that its very hard for me to determine if an item is a DPS upgrade.
The reason it is hard is because there are factors that are not included in the tooltip DPS.
For example is 40% increased Damage better than 80% chance to shred Armor on Hit?
What I would like to do is on the training dummy do my damage rotation with buffs up.
Problem is that I have multiple skills overlapping and the numbers fly by so quickly its hard to tell if the tweaks I am making nets me an overall increase of damage.
What I propose is an option for a rolling average of damage dealt.
To be more specific imagine a singular number on screen that displays the sum of damage dealt in the past 4 seconds.
Lets say damage dealt is added into a “bucket” and the game displays the average of those buckets in the past 4 seconds.
There are many ways this could be implemented but the overall idea is that damage is grouped and displayed as a singular number that is easier to digest.
