The range on them is ridiculously short. You need to stand inside your target to hit it over half the time. I get it, in the real world daggers are tiny, but this isn’t the real world; this is a game where you can teleport around like Nightcrawler from the X-Men, fling fire and lightning from your hands, and transform into giant mythological beings.
What I’m saying is: Normalize weapon ranges, please!
A fraction of skills do that, it’s not even noteworthy.
I think Mike talked about this a long time ago on a dev stream as well.
It came to topic, when I asked about Harvest’s Aoe and he confirmed that Harvest does not use weapon range, as well as a plethora of other skills.
Only very few exceptions did.
It sounded almost like they wanted to get rid of that Stat entirely, not sure that last part is only an assumption from me.
Melee is easily my least favorite thing in this game. Getting bonked by every boss imaginable because I had the audacity to walk in its direction is pretty discouraging. Hopefully this will get some additional tuning at some point.
So what are decent ranged melee skills and what are no decent ranged melee skills? Each and every melee skill worked for me while I like the attacks with an AoE compaonents the most but every other skill was almost the same to me.
