CTD After Fast Traveling

After Playing a While (2-3 hours) I will try to fast travel either through using the map or going through a portal and the game stops responding.
I can not find the temp file for the crash in User/local/temp…

Have you tried unplugging your speakers/headphones when the game hangs? Does it hang while loading in to a specific zone or can it happen to any zone? Have you tried getting steam to verify your game files?

I Didn’t have a problem while playing today, but I made it to and have been running monoliths.
I have not tried unplugging my headphones,(odd solution to a crash, at that point I would rather just click “close the program” and relaunch it. ) but will try next time.

the game has only crashed twice on me so it’s hard to say what is happening consistently or not, but both times it happened i had returned to town through a portal, sold stuff/organized inventory/equipped new gear, then went back… crash. i beleive the first time i opened the map and just teleported back to the waypoint i was at and the second i went through the portal again.

The second time i was approaching the door to liaths tower for the first time.(it was locked and the guards was fighting stuff.) The first time i don’t remember where i was. (was just like “oh a crash”, relaunched the game and continued on my way.)

I just checked my steam files, but had not previously. Steam didn’t find anything to be replaced or redownloaded that i could tell.

i would like to note that as i played through the campaign i would notice a pretty bad performance loss in a couple areas.(not related to the crashing afaik)
normal fps is around 160-180 in dense areas.

1. a ship area where you fight an “admiral crablike dude” and then jump off the edge to complete the quest.(40-70 fps)
2. the first time you enter and about the first half of the desert area.(60-120fps)
3. after playing a while average fps just drops little by little from 170ish down to around 120ish then i restart and it’s fine again for a while.(i tried restarting for 1. and 2. but it didn’t help.)
