Tempest Strike is probably just not a good candidate for using swords.

If you dislike Tempest Strike that is fine, but it’s objectively not that bad.

It’s not on Rive Niveau, but it’s pretty respectable in terms of damage and how many different things you can do with it (AoE/Singletarget)

Your phrasing was just very confusing because you stated an independancy from the attack speed bonus and any added damage.

I just wanted to make clear that adding any kind of flat damage to any skill, will not change how it interacts with attack/cast speed
