Crowd Control - Excessive

Getting some serious season 1 Diablo 4 vibes with all this damn CC from mobs.

I don’t need to be stunned every 1.7 seconds. It’s not hard, it’s fucking annoying. The kind of annoying that will make you lose players.

You can gear towards stun avoidance if you dislike it so much. Or get better defenses since stun is based on damage done.

Yeah, more hp &/or defences would help.

While you are leveling you should not be even remotely held to maxing out armor, res or anything of the nature. It is wildly annoying and honestly just makes the whole game look less attractive.

Yep keep getting stunned every 1.2 seconds. No thank you. Alt+F4. Thanks for the refund Steam.

Pro tip: People don’t want to analyze gear every level to make sure they have max armor/resistances. Resistances and armor are END GAME CONTENT. If I get a new sweet amulet that drops, but it doesn’t have the void res to replace my current, it’s STUPID to make me scrap it.

You aren’t, I rarely upgrade my gear while levelling & don’t get stunned much, even on squishier classes/masteries.

Good luck with that with a lvl 100 in 1.0 & a lvl 64 this league. It’s weird 'cause you’re not playing an excessively squishy mastery, you should be able to keep a decent amount of ward. Though you do have almost non-existent health (740 at lvl 64).

What’s next, players should be allowed to play naked?

You can if you have skill (Lizard did the Emperor of Corpses nekkid except a weapon, belt & boots).

If you have skill and are okay with the fight lasting 10minutes.

Yeah it was declined, that’s fine. C’est la vive. Just won’t waste anymore time on garbage /shrug.

Diablo 4 learned this the hard way. Apparently LE needs to do the same.

People don’t want to min/max pre-end game builds. It’s a giant waste of time and aggravating more than anything.

No one with skill / game knowledge has fights that last 10 minutes while leveling, things are dying in seconds. I have been breezing through the game so far, level 84 on a summon skeleton acolyte which isn’t even supposed to be that great. Not perfect resistances, low armor, and getting stunned occasionally when I get too aggressive.

Good thing you can get to monos with garbage gear (less than lvl 15-20, excluding the weapon). But I’m sure it’s the game being overtuned as it clearly affects everyone.

I sort of agree with the sentiment.
In general, I think that stun is a good mechanic for the game. But there is definitely some overuse of the mechanic.

When you fight Lagoon during the campaign, the stuns from you bonking in the head are so needlessly long.
Ok, I get it, I too would be rather dazed if I were to be bonked in the head by a claw the size of a pick-up truck, but you spend so much time stunned in that fight it’s ridiculous.
It’s not even that dangerous to be stunned there. He does not follow up the attacks, he just stares at you letting you recover before bonking you again.

Increase your health-pool, that reduces stuns. With a appropriate amount of health you barely ever feel it happening, and even less so in a meaningful way.

Never recommend stun avoidance, that’s a nonsensical affix currently in the game, being weaker then any other possible defensive measure… even pure health outpaces it.

You’re not beholden to max it out. You’re beholden to keep pace.

No, never intended, not in most games, where do you take that notion from?

Nah, it’s a choice for you to make, it’s not stupid it’s the core design aspects of how hack’n’slash ARPGs of that type work. Simple as that.

Goodbye, enjoy your time then outside of LE.
Why do you even need to mention you’re leaving? Never understood that.
If someone wants to leave… why not just leave?
If you wanna give feedback on something it’s obvious you don’t think something is 100% perfect and hence want to improve it best case and worst-case dislike something. Why add one on top? Is it to make it seem more severe? More important? It’s not because of it.

Wha? D4 is a snoozefest even with non-optimal gear for progression. If you fuck up for that then something’s really off, the game is really easy to progress though. Obviously you don’t need to have any sort of adjustments since you could run anything at all!
I had no clue what the heck was actually affecting me how much until I sat down when I reached their end-game, which is clearly a bad state.
And since their affixes were such un-intuitive garbage they changed their whole system, that’s a lesson on intuitive game-design and not one for what you try to make it out to be.

People play these games for this exact aspect, to progress and handle their gear. If it has no meaning then it removes that aspect, which is the core philosophy for the whole darn genre.

You should definitely switch the whole genre… those games clearly are not even remotely for you!

Yeah, the stun mechanic is a bit aged and not perfectly adjusted, definitely can need a bit of work at the rougher edges.
