I wish the mechanic didn’t exist at lower levels.
I appreciate the mechanic and what it is meant for, but at lower levels it often means that the item gains level requirements. I’ve had items that I simply wanted to add a bit of resistances to, jump as high as 13 levels. Now the gear I was dependent on for the resistances I had (and wanted to improve) is no longer wearable. In a solo self found scenario this can feel quite catastrophic (at least it does for me). It happens so often that I am almost as afraid of the critical success as I am of the item shattering.
Often, by the time I get to the level where I can use that item again, I’ve gotten something with a better implicit or I’ve crafted something better out of necessity.
I would be all in favor of the critical success mechanic not existing at levels under 50, or even 60.
