currently I´m running a Spellblade with Shatter strike and Flame reave - which is by the way a hell of fun!
One thing I would like to mention though because this seems to me as a big and “unfair” problem. There is absolutely no passive in Spellblade that is pushing my crit chance in some way. Consequently it is mandatory to have “melee crit chance” on my weapon! So a lot of interesting options and opportunities are just not possible. Very sad!
What do you guys think? Yes, with 3 stacks of flame reave it always crits but I dont want to stack all the time…especially for trash.
Do you have same problems? Or how did you solve? (have all 10 points in mage and in sorcerer its just for spells)
My suggestion would be to add some crit chance increase on passives and/or some base crit in shatter strike!
There is increased crit chance on the base Mage passive (Knowledge of Destruction, +7% per point, 10 points).
Melee skills tend to need less crit chance on them since they benefit from the base crit chance prefix that you can get on your weapons.
I’m not sure if I’d want every skill to have increased crit chance on it, I think it’s good that there are multiple ways to increase the damage you can get from a skill (such as repeats, which Shatter Strike gets, hit damage, other effects, etc). I’m not saying I disagree with you, I just don’t necessarily agree with you…
