Game freezes every time my Acolyte enters The Surface from The Sheltered Wood. Primalist gets through the zone just fine. I’ve also tried getting rid of all my pets, and issue still happens. Files all validate fine; graphics card drivers are up-to-date.
Have you tried unplugging your speakers/headphones when it hangs?
Nope, but I’ll do that right now and check back.
So I turned the sound down all the way (in the event I needed to take headphones out), and whether it was that or good luck, the bug didn’t happen this time. Just weird because it was only on my Acolyte. But past it now - thanks for your fast response.
Crash is back but now in different place (Ruins of E., can’t remember spelling right now). Can’t recreate with any other character or any specific set of actions (muting/raising volume, alt-tabbing or not alt-tabbing, etc).

Sorry you are having hassles…
You didnt post your system info / game logs (https://support.lastepoch.com/category/35-useful-files) so its difficult to make some suggestions but can you try the following…
Temporarily set the game to 1080p, 60fps frame limit, all graphics settings to very low or disabled and Test if the stability improves (i.e. doesnt crash).
It seems that some people that are experiencing random crashes are able to improve stability by dialing back on the graphics settings and this is the simplest way to test it… Obviously if this doesnt work for you, then its something else…
If its stable at this config, then increase the resolution (nothing else)… test again, then increase the fps (no higher than 120fps seems to be ok for high end systems) … test again… if its still stable then increase the graphics… Even high end machines seem to be most stable on medium - anything higher introduces instability - especially if you are using high resolution and high fps at the same time…
