Have you tried getting steam to verify your game files and have you tried unplugging your speakers/headphones when the game hangs?

Also had this happen twice. Verifying game files with Steam fixed it for me.

Hello,

Same here. Tried 5 times and still blocked.

Let me try to verify files with Steam.

Tried to repair local files with Steam without result. Game still hung.

Next step : uninstall reboot re-install

Re-installation is not successfull. The game still crashs.

Bad :cold_sweat:

Any update on this issue? Unfortunately, my game is also crashing %100 when I enter Thetima and unable to progress. Tried 6 times, also validated files with steam and I have no external headphone or speaker attached.

Hey Welcome to the forums @karamakros @1triple4 @Aries1969 @sept1412

Sorry you are having hassles with the game… LE is obviously in beta and has lots of performance and stability issues that seem to be related to graphical settings.

Have you tried the graphics settings changes that most people have found to resolve the stability issues? Even high end systems are having hassles but the suggestions below seem to help with stability.

Here is a copy from another post:

Temporarily set your config to 1080p, 60fps frame limited, every setting to very low or disabled. Test for stability.

If its stable then increase the resolution - nothing else - to the level you want to play at.

If its still stable, then increase the fps rate limit - obviously up to your monitors capability or less if you find that acceptable. Do not remove the limit - LE is much stabler with a limit in place.

If its still stable, then increase the in-game graphic settings one step at a time testing as you go… I would NOT recommend going above medium. Obviously this is directly related to your resolution and fps limits but as I said before, even people on 30 series GPUs have found that anything higher than Medium is not worth it at 1440p+ resolutions… Depending on your resolution, you may have to leave more than a few settings off or on low.

Things like antialising and textures etc can also be toggled to see - some find this either improves stability or fps but its very system specific.

There are some other things to try like increasing the Last epoch excutable priority on windows and making sure Steam and other overlays like Geforce are disabled… There is also a possible problem with Citrix and.or Teamviewer that need to be disabled.

This seems to be the best we can do for now until the devs get to dealing with the stability/performance issues…

(Everything above is assuming that your system is patched, all drivers are up-to-date and there are no other issues)

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

I resolved the issue by changing soundcard output. Advice I rode in another post. I plugged my headphones USB sound card then reload the game. The Thetima level works fine now.

My default sound card was Nvidia High Definition. I noticed that the sounds (music and ambient) came 1-2 seconds after this particular level was loaded.

Graphic was not changed.

Regard

Thanks for the feedback. I managed to solve the issue by decreasing the in game graphic settings to low as described.
