If you have your stash tab open, and press F to open forge, dragging an item from your inventory to the forge will cause the forge screen to change to the staff. If you class that stash menu and try to open the forge, the forge will change back to the staff menu. The only way to resolve this is to move away from the staff so you can’t interact with it. This does not happen when interacting with shops.
Opening and closing the stash like this is a known side effect of the click’n’drag currently also activating any “clickable” item underneath… There are various similar issues that happen if you do this and drag over a portal or NPC. You dont even need to be dragging an item, just holding down move will cause similar issues…
The devs know about this and will hopefully address it.
