Crafting control suggestion

In past seasons where we were lucky enough to get multiple imprint drops and have plenty of spare items for crafting (even though FP roll range is far to high) we could craft good items to then try be lucky enough to slam onto LP items.

We no longer have imprints.

Exalteds are much harder to get - 100s and 100s of nem towers. A lof of these drop with sealed affixs and a tier too high to seal making it a very risky removal or pray and hope for a somewhat usable redemption. Things like a roll of 19 on a chaos glyph or 17 on adding a T1 affix is unacceptable. Roll ranges should not exceed 12. FP currently I think sits at a maximum of 65 from Nemesis as CoF (not sure MG) but world drops of 6/7 7/7 generally tends fo be high 30s, maybe low to mid 40s if you get lucky. Items that drop with a T5 needing a lucky removal seems very unfair now we have no spare items.

I believe now that exalteds are much harder to come by and higher corruption yields none that we, the players should get more control over initial crafting. Slamming will always be RNG, fine, accepted. But craft control should be much higher. This includs some of the following ideas and very open to other crafting related ideas too. No longer can some certain people on here post “if xyz was changed we’d have dozens of perfect items to slam” because that simply is not true.

Potential changes:

  • Much higher FP and smaller roll range on all runes. FP 90 / maxroll glyph/rune 12.
  • Items should never drop with a sealed affix unless it’s a corrupted item.
  • Some kind of new rune that allows us to change a single T6 or T7 rather than them all.
  • Sealing % should be increased all tiers including 5 making it realistic to seal.

I have seen a lot of posts over the last year and a bit with various ideas about crafting and adding new runes and adding this and changing that and most of the time it wasn’t really needed because hell, 10 solid hours of running troves/vaults you could have 20-30 of the item you want then if lucky enough have 3-4 very good items out of those that weren’t turned to brick by crazy high unlucky rune rolls.

This is no longer a thing.

You removed imprints. You can’t take that away, chuck in a luck game with corruption and not adjust anything else.

My ideas might not be the ones you chose but we all need and deserve more craft control. Saw some poor soul who had been trying to get a 76 or 77 axe for 3 weeks to slam his WS and still hadn’t found one farming 1000c and running lots of Nems. Thats crazy.

Please, give us enhanced crafting. The base system is great and always has been but with your out of the blue change to imprints the system is no longer fair to anyone in the way it works compared to previously.

Don’t forget about champion’s affixes. They need some love, not a removal.
Oh I miss runes used for sealing experimental affixes.

Sorry you’re right - those are all good haha! I mean consistently this season time and time again my double and triple exalts from nem drop with a sealed affix meaning the initial move of finding a low tier to seal is gone thus leaving removal/redemption the only chose, removal always seems to know what you want most and kills it and redemption is all based on weight of re-roll commonality so its very seldom you’ll get 1 thing you want let alone 2 unless its that 1 in 50k moment of glory haha
