I know this isn’t a small thing to implement but one of the satisfying things about playing a Cold build in any ARPG is when frozen enemies shatter and make that incredibly satisfying sound, over and over again.
I couldn’t agree more, I been begging for something like this since I started playing. The last comment from the devs about this idea was it’s just a time thing. It take a long time to do something like this because it would require making and replacing every death animation for every monster in the game it’s too much work where it could be better spent finishing the game up for 1.0. So I don’t think it’s that they don’t want to have it in the game more that they probably want to finish the game first.
Yep, same thing could be said for ignite or fire damage in general having an “incineration” death animation. It requires a lot of 3D model work because it essentially needs to replace every 3D model for enemies in the game with that, along with potential custom animations. It is very time consuming, and there are other higher priority items that I think need to be completed first.
That would be nice to get down the pipe. Alongside a lot of other QoL stuff that has been mentioned on the forum. Also would be sweet if it carried the added bonus of eliminating the “Revive in 2 seconds” mod if they’re shattered on the first kill.
