Cosmetic Bug after game update?

Why does the characters I play in seasonal keep getting their cosmetic removed and everything in the appearance when I load into the game? Doesn’t look like stuff gets saved? Did they change something?

This is currently happening to me as well, along with my non-seasonal character cosmetics getting removed after I logout - leading to me having to manually put back on all of the cosmetics each time I re-log back into my chosen character. (Bug occuring for me as of 10/29/2025)

My seasonal online characters are having this happen currently. Even while playing they became unequipped in between load screens.

I’m not even sure what file they are talking about to delete?

Cosmetics resetting

Every time I log into the game my cosmetics reset and I have to re-equip them. It also happens when I load into some areas. I don’t know if this is also related but sometimes I can’t see the projectile of my heartseeker skill with or without cosmetic on. When I play with my friend he says he can’t see my cosmetics equipped on at all even though I have them equipped on my screen.

I have the same problem since beginning of this month and I also found this post, but was not able to find the mentioned folder or recreate their solution…

Would be nice if someone would post their solution, if you guys got it fixed.

This is what fixed it for me.

Delete all items (non folder items) in the folder here.

C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch

Once you launch the game it should rebuild those files. It appears the cosmetic file is getting corrupted maybe because of the offline/online cosmetic fix they did? Not sure

steam sync off, deleting folder etc. nothing works. and Im really getting frustrated.

Validate game version in Steam?

I had to do this a couple times, but yea this one is annoying for sure.

no it doesnt work.
cosmetics are now resetting, when i enter a new area. this is ridiculous rly.
I bought the supporter packs for supporting the devs, but being able to see what I paid for would be awesome.

We actually released a fix for this, but unfortunately players it already happened to have the bug cached. I believe the team is working on a fix to clear that cache with S4, but for a workaround, you can delete these two files in your %LOCALAPPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch directory:

offline_cosmetic_data_equips.json
owned_cosmetics.json
