Since an update some time ago Echo of a World now gives bonus Corruption based on your highest Corruption.
This is fine in theory, however it gives far too much Corruption at the moment.
I am playing a warpath VK and my highest Corruption at the moment is around 700, however I can only clear very favorable Echoes at that Corruption level which is why I would ideally like to farm Monoliths at around 500-580 Corruption.
Now every time I kill a Shade of Orobyss I have to lower my Corruption by 200 or more (so 4-5 times) afterwards which is very annoying since I have to kill Shades for their items. It’s very disrupting of the gameplay loop for me, so I have prepared 2 suggestions.
Bonus Corruption only boosts you to 75% of your highest Corruption
Lowering Corruption in the Sanctuary of Eterra is now a percentage of your current Corruption instead of a fixed value
Would be nice if either could be implemented.

Not entirely sure if I get your issue, but the sanctuary is very wonky in terms of displaying the current values.
You can apply each decrement multiple times, as often as you want. Just the UI is not updated. I found that out the hard way when I clicked the button multiple times and ended up at 100 curruption.
So if there e.g. is a -50 button you can click it three times in order to decrease the curruption by 150.
Edit: I think there is a single apply button actually and the decrements are radio buttons…
This is because of the catchup mechanic. If you pushed one timeline to that value (700ish) and don’t want the others to raise it, rather than lowering it all the time in the second timeline just lower it in the highest one back to the 500ish you want to farm. Then, when you’re farming the second timeline it will raise to 500ish all the time.
Also, like R1ng0 said, you can decrease by larger amounts by selecting the button multiple times.
Instead of enforcing to lower corruption let the player fix the value in some way.
Or give it into player agency and adjust the corruption value freely, expanding the scale by running a full web to a shade from the highest corruption level if you want a higher max.
Yeah so uh I have been running Sanctum and then only decreasing corruption by 50 once every time so that was insanely annoying and my entire problem. Thanks for letting me know I can do that as often as I want, would have saved me a ton of frustration over the weeks…
Maybe the interface at the end of the sanctum could be changed for morons such as myself? Like the window not going away after applying the -50 once or something idk.
