One of the most frustrating things about playing on controller is the complete and utter lack of aiming. In TQ1, GD, and Chronicon, I am able to aim in a direction and cast in another (even if they all require stutter stepping like LE does), but because LE forcebinds the right stick to a cursor, even when you’re not in a menu, you’re completely reliant on the direction your character is moving for target priority. This leads to situations where the threat is the Boss, but you keep casting at the adds the boss spawned as you try to kite (this isn’t as much of an issue on melee builds, but it still happens).
The only fix is to use Steam Input to emulate Mouse & Keyboard and use a “Mouse Region” on the right stick to create a pseudo aiming circle (this has it’s own issues).
As such, I’d like to request a system like TQ1 where the right stick works as a cursor with the menu open, but an aiming reticle (just target direction with the new cast priority system) so you can kite while aiming at the actual threat instead of the minor enemies
