Controller Bugs

When using a controller, there are a few buggy interactions. Please note that these are all in online mode, not sure about offline.

  1. Settings → Change Input Keys - Change the controller pointer velocity on the top right. Restart your client, check your setting. It always resets to 1.

  2. Play any class that has a movement skill, and use it. the auto targeting is wonky and not very well implemented in terms of how movement skills should typically function. For example, with Sentinel, I’ll often shield rush straight into a wall when my character is facing straight down a corridor and I want to go that way instead.

  3. Similar to above, “Anomaly” skill with Sentinal will often cast off in a random part of my screen that’s completely away from where I am fighting. I assume that skills like this should just cast straight in front of your character, which it does probably 60% of the time, but then the rest of the time it’ll cast off on the edge or corner of the screen for seemingly no reason.

2 & 3 can be fixed by just giving an option to completely disable auto targeting while using a controller. Not sure how feasible or easy this is to do, but it would make a huge difference!

Having a lot of fun, but hope these issues can get resolved! I personally play on a controller because it’s more ergonomic I feel; holding a movement key on a M&K can wear you out pretty quick when compared to how easy it is to move around using a controller!

Edit: A little more detail on #3, I notice when you are using “Warpath” then your character physically turns very slowly (based on the map player icon). It seems to me like you can change your direction instantly, but the direction your character model is actually facing doesn’t adjust quickly. If you try to cast Anomaly in the direction you’re turning to, but your character is still facing the other way in-game, then it just casts the ability max range in the direction your character is facing according to the map instead of the actual direction you’re moving. Hope that makes sense!
