I have played through the story on 2 characters and am trying to do so on a third. I have entered Barren Aqueduct about 20 times and have made it through twice, every other time the game completely crashes and sometimes its a memory leak. I have tried adjusting settings (I am playing on ultra everything) and this has not helped. The game also crashes randomly but consistently at Barren Aqueduct.
I’m having a similar issue but with The Shrouded Ridge. Been trying to get up to Lightless Arbor but every time I try zoning into The Shrouded Ridge (have tried roughly 10 times), the game crashes and I get a window that looks like an error report.
Hi folks
Hace you tried verifying integrity of your game files?
I’ll try this and report back!
Update: I crash even more frequently now and haven’t even tried barren aqueducts again yet!
crashed on first attempt in aqueducts after verifying game files twice with no issue
Heya
To make it easier for EHG to diagnose issue, you can supply a DxDiag and your player.log from recent crash
I would love to, how can i upload these files, or how would you like me to share them?
You should be able to upload on a comment right here. If they are too big, you can zip them up using Right-click, send to, conpressed folder
DxDiag.txt (109.3 KB)
Player.log (3.2 MB)
Player-prev.zip (865.0 KB)
Here is the dxdiag, player.log, and player prev log, my last play session had a memory leak, havent gone to aqueducts in a while
damn, i have had a memory leak and crashed 5 times today and its barely noon, this is one of the worst days trying to play so far
Hi,
Your logfile is repeating one particular error over and over multiple times per second that seems to be related to a Unity Class TextMeshProUGUI. It is very likely that this is, over time, causing your instability. Your player-prev.log has the same error just repeated millions of times.
First tho - I see that your GPU drivers are from January. Its very important to make sure your drivers are recent so its important to do an update - and use a clean install, not an upgrade as that doesnt always update correctly.
While you are doing that, make sure that your system updates are recent and there isnt anything failed. MS has been known to release patches that stuff things up so its always best to check.
I dont see any performance related errors in the log so nothing to go from there. With your specs I am assuming you are running maxed out. From past experience, bugs do tend to show up on Ultra settings vs lower configs - would be interesting just as a test to see if you have the same issue by dropping settings to very low - just for a test.
I am not a unity dev so I do not know specifically what the logged Error message could be related to but I can make some guesses.
From your comment above I am not sure, but does this issue only happen with one particular character? Does the same problem happen on other chars or just the one?
Are you using a lootfilter? Can you try disabling it just to see if it has any affect?
I was running on ultra, i havent had a crash since lowering to “Very High”
Yes I have a loot filter on, if i crash again ill try disabling and go from there.
My drivers are from January because the PC was built in January XD
Ultra vs Very High - ok, perhaps its a specific sub-setting that is causing the issue only on Ultra, but to confirm that, you would have to toggle things on systematically to try and troubleshoot it - if you are willing to put in the effort.
Lootfilter - ok. The error in the logs is related to on screen Text so I was wondering if the lootfilter which tags the drops could be messed up. Just a guess on my part cause lootfilter corruptions can cause problems sometimes.
Drivers from Jan cause PC was from Jan. Hmm… Hoping you already know that aint good PC housekeeping.
I guess ill try turning back up to ultra and toggling settings.
Ive kept loot filters on and i crash a lot less
ok ok ill update drivers lol
