Why is the difference so massive? Does the crit chance increases also affect bonus from the offhand? If so this seems extremely overpowered compared to other offhand bases

Flat crit is added to your base (usually 5%) then modified by and % increased crit modifiers.
Seems way too op compared to other bases, I thought it will be a flat amount added after all the increases - 6% flat would then be comparable to around 100% increase (depending on a spell base crit).
For dps, yes, but defense is more important in LE.
It is good, donāt get me wrong, but I donāt think itās way too OP. 66 less ward per second and 70% lower ward retention is nothing to sneeze at.
For what itās worth itās not comparable to around 100% increase in your case; looks like youāre very heavily invested in crit chance and have around 600% increased crit chance normally. 100% increased crit chance would put you to 700% and increase your total crit chance from 32% to 38%.
Instead itās like 100% āMoreā crit chance (multiplicative); in your case itās worth around 600% increased crit chance. Which for you is huge, depending on your crit multiplier itās likely 40% āMoreā damage, potentially even higher.
But I wouldnāt at all be surprised if the Opulent Focus offers 40% or more increased time for enemies to kill you. If you arenāt ever in danger of dying anyways absolutely use the Crystal Skull itās amazing for your build. Just saying though, I wouldnāt get rid of that Opulent Focus anytime soon.
Thatās not what he meant. If the base crit chance of the skill is 5% (which almost all of them are), then +6% base crit is comparable to a 120% increased crit chance modifier in isolation. Obviously itās never the only crit modifier & they player often has some other % increased crit chance which means that, as you say, itās more comparable to a 120% more crit chance.
Yep I get that, I was just trying to provide what I see as a more useful way of looking at it.
Still imperfect of course, with his increased crit chance if heās got the +40% crit chance on Mana Strike itās actually 0% increased crit chance since itās already at 100%. If he was using something like Meteor with +8% base crit chance itās 50% more crit rather than 100%. As alluded to with his comment ādepending on the baseā.
But even still, the entire point was just that it doesnāt get lumped in with the increased chance bucket so itās closer to think of it as a multiplicative or āmoreā.
