Computer crashed, deleted the character I was on, now I can't see filters. Whenever I pull up the filter menu, it won't let me close the menu and when the menu is up it won't let me move zones (fixed)

As the title states, my computer crashed while in act 8 on a HC character. Once I got back on last epoch the character was deleted from the game. Now on a new character when I open the filter drop down menu nothing shows, and I cant make a new filter or see old filter because the tutorial won’t stop popping up and I can’t exit the basic menu. When this menu is up the game won’t let me progress zones at all. I have tried verifying the game files and it made no difference and showed everything was normal. I am in the process of reinstalling the game now.

Edit- the corrupted filter was the problem and after deleting it it has been fixed. My character is still deleted however, but at least I can play the game.

This is likely caused by a corrupted filter file. You need to go into the filter folder and delete it (its likely the most recently use one).

The folder is in the same directory as the log files.

Check SMART status of your hard drive cause this could be HW failure.

It looks like it was a corrupted filter and after deleting the filter it has solved the issues. Thank you for the fast response and help! Although my character is still deleted so that sucks.

Glad its fixed…

Consider making backups of your savegames & filters… that way if there is a crash, the worst you can lose is the last playsession…

If you are having regular crashes… Consider lowering your in-game settings and enabling a lower FPS limit - these two things can help to keep things stable in the beta game right now - especially if you like playing HC mode where a crash can be catastrophic.
