I’m surprised with 2.0 launching that we still can’t compare both ring slots. Really want this to be added.
It was in the patch notes and works. Press and hold Ctrl then press Alt.

Turn off in the Setting/Gameplay Auto-Compare and Swap Mod Ranges. It works for me.
