Companion (Wolf) has too wide aggro range / Attack modes of companions

Hello,

Im not sure if this is bug or its intended, so category might be wrong.

I would realy appreciate more complex behaviour settings of companions.

For example in my build (Primalist/shaman) Im using wolf maily for buffs (roar ability). But it is pretty annoying that there is no possibility to set companion to “passive” behaviour when I would have to hit “A” on keyboard in order to set him a target.

Another point is that its aggro range is massive. Sometimes it feals that its more than two screens away. I died many times after finished combat encounter just because I was thinking I was “save” and decided to AFK a moment (sometimes you just have to) but that bastard just sniffed some enemy on other side of a map, died there and I died after enemies just arrived to me.

The fact that there is set auto-reset of a map (even in Monoliths) do not help this at all. You cannot even make a portal and hope to return to area. When your brake is too long, the monolith run just resets (portal vanishes) with all your progress. Its not that big deal but its annoying.

Thanks

There’s actually a wolf that is named ‘Fenton’ that has about 2-3x wider aggro radius compared to the other wolves. It’s a reference to a viral video of a dog (Fenton) running after animals in a field. Next time you notice your wolf aggroing on things 2 screens away check to see if it happened to get that name.

I’m definitely hoping we get some pet stance options and more controls in the future.
