Believe this was requested back in April but now with the Rogue - blade and bow, its become painfully necessary- every other ARPG (all the other kids 
) have it- GD POE TL TQ et al x, y, and z i believe 
Since stat snapshotting is a thing in LE currently, having Weapon Sets would be way too strong.
I am not sure if if the devs plan to remove snapshotting at some point, but introducing weapon sets, before that gets changed would be painful, because it most certainly would become the meta and not everybody likes doing that.
Ok, forgive me @Heavy, because been away from the forums for circa almost a year- define stat snapshotting please.
A skill that has a duration (like a channel or minions) calculates it’s damage (& other stats) when you initially cast it, even if those stats change afterwards.
So, say you equipped a weapon with lots of minion buffs on it (minion life, minion attack speed, minion damage, etc), summoned all your minions, then swapped over to either a weapon set that buffed your damage or survivability. You’d have the benefits of both better minions and a more effective character at the same time.
Skills do “snapshot” all yours stat, when using them.
This is very apparent for skills that have a duration (like summons or long lastign damage effects or even channels)
One example that comes to my mind, which is very common is Forge Guard. You can compelte change your gear summon Manifest Armor(1 single strong minion) and then switch back all your gear.
With “quick” weapon swap in mid-combat this could become a very opressive “meta”
Aha I see - people gaming the system - imagine it might be possible to severely restrict the weapon sets - like just to melee / ranged swap perhaps? And/or bows and daggers heh?
It wouldn’t matter, if you’re going to do that then the weapons are stat sticks & you could get a decent amount of minion affixes on a weapon swap.
