Hello everyone, havent done a post in a long time, I think its gonna be a little longer one.
First of all I have to say that 0.9 has made the game so much better (that combat feel that you have implemented along with the increased performance really did a trick) But i have noticed combat feel of lightning and fire skills is so much better than the others (cold, melee, range) The thing is when I electrocute or burn enemies I have a feeling of using the right element solely by death animation of enemies, while when I freeze or kill with cold skills they are not giving me that satisfing feeling in form of death animation as lightning and fire are giving me. I so as well that after 0.9 certain cone behind enemies is presented when they are hit with cold skills but that cone is flat and it gives that feeling of flour on the floor personaly I would make something like a trace of small glacier after enemies that are hit with cold attack and most definetly would change the color of being frozen. In ideal situation and it would be compleatly sick would be that enemies are shatter when they are killed after being frozen.
Next is when I hit an enemy with a melee (doesn mater of class or mastery) or if I use my range attack (throwing or bow it doesn matter) I still dont feel that connection when the hit is landed on enemies as well on most enemies I dont feel it neaither by death animation that is presented. In the most ideal situation decapitation and dismemberment would be a perfect solution. I cant say nothing for poison or necrotic damage since I havent played not a single character with that type of damage. So why I think this is truly important and I was mentioning combat feel for a long time now, it couse it made me play the game so much more after I was compleatly burned from it since now in the endgame after 500 hours it realy doesnt have nothing to offer in terms of repleyability in regards of the endgame itself, and interestingly it made me play lightning and fire builds so much more than (range, melee and cold, the last one being my favourite type of damage in all ARPs) so I am not playing my favourite type of damage or my favourite type of class just couse other type of damage feels more impactful and it gives that satisfying feeling of killing something in game and I can safely that it would be amazing in time if you could improve that in terms of frozen enemies get shatered on kill, small glacier is randomly generated behind enemies in patern of their shape when they are hit with cold attack , arrows stick in to enemies, enemies are sliced or dismpembered on kill when melee atack is used. I am sure that I am asking a lot since it for sure is not something that is so easy to do but it would give another big reason for people to play game I am sure of it in the same way that made me play it more just couse combat feel imporvements.
And second topic I wont to open is the endgame itself. It feels like walking simulator from point A to point B, nothing is happening from point A to point B and for replayability I think this part is crucial (the reason I stoped playing the game), and the reason I played it for 50 hours since 0.9 is combat feel only (fire and lightning skills) I know that you have already mention the solution and I agree on with you, the only reason I am writing this is couse I believe it should me more prioritize to come in the next patch since that is basicly your game (the endgame)
I have to say that 0.9 made the game so much better and I hope you will continue with the same patern, I am cheering for you guys for a 2 years now good luck and if I can support the game by any other means I will.
