It really is a troll. This modifier needs to be more like tier 1-3. Sets have no real value. I could see this being a forge option in the recent suggestion i made for a forge faction, allowing them to craft sets.
Tier sets are bad, but for some classes like void knight, and forge guard, and maybe you could argue paladin they got a hard to get 3 set, from husk of gaspard, fire lich, and i believe it was lightless arbor.
But for most of the others, i agree sets are kind of a meme. Since you can get most of them with runes of ascendance which you can get a lot of with prophecies anyway as they are dirt cheap. I think sets need to be improved a lot [made a post on this before]
As to a replacement which i think would be fair for T9?
Exalted drops that are bellow tier 4 have a 25% to be upgraded to T4. Tier 4 affixes have a 10% to reroll twice and roll 4-6. Tier 6 affixes have 1% chance to re-roll to a T7
That would make it actually useful, and be a huge boost to CoF which it needs

There are also a couple set items that are good for other classes. This is why my argument has been to just delete the sets and take the popular individual items and make them uniques.
EHG already said they look into sets because they are in no good plae right now. If anyone used the search function you might find even more topics on this ^^.
Could use it with set echo rewards/prophecies for the new gold farm(500 gold for each piece) I guess�
Although I think Mike mentioned on stream that sets are expecting a rework/buff that will make you want to drop MORE of them.

Like several things in that recap⌠itâs just saying âyes, we got somethingâ but without saying anything about the stuff itself.
âYes, we have functions for trade which were more sought after then thoughtâ <â no shit! âAnd weâre implementing them next patchâ â which ones?
Same for the faction system âWe think the core aspect is well done and it needs a few changesâ â yeah⌠which ones? The direction is important. It can be another grab into the toilet bowl or a fantastic solution to every existing issue with them.
And set-items too âWeâll implement them more into end-gameâ <â yeah, that was a given unless they wanna just ignore their existence, but⌠how? Any bit of detail wouldâve been nice.
Those topics can simply be combined into a single sentence âweâre working on itâ and thatâs it. Those words never held value beyond acknowledging somethingâs going on and ARPG players have been burned beyond reasoning by those words as well. They donât fare well anymore for people playing those games since a long time and for newer ones I find them fairly insincere since it leaves out a lot of important and needed information.
But as a tldr:
I guess itâs nice to know theyâre doing⌠well⌠something?
Rank 9 increases my gold income, yay! Itâll help offset the arena key nerf.
