I’ve purchased about 4 different lenses now, both regional and greater. For everyone of them, the item’s tooltips don’t appear, whether I’m hovering over them in my inventory or the telescope, if the telescope is open.
This has been the case from the first day I bought one, and has persisted through reboots, so I’m not sure if this is a bug or intended behavior, but I’m hoping it’s a bug because honestly it’s a bit annoying to have to close the telescope and then reopen my inventory to read the tooltip. Or unequip a lens, then close my inventory and reopen it, and then re-equip the lens.
The tooltip works when hovering over the lenses while not in the telescope, but once in the telescope whether the lens is active in the scope or in the inventory the tooltip doesn’t appear.
This is quite frustrating if you have multiple lenses and are trying to figure out which one to use for what you are looking for. I know that eventually, if you use them enough, you will know by the color and icon, but that shouldn’t be necssary.
