As the title states, if you take the Viper’s Call node in the Swarmblade skill tree and then specialize in Serpent’s Strike where you take the Venemous Union and Cobra Lunge nodes you will find that these nodes do not function when you transform into Swarmblade form. (They hardly function as is while not in the form either, but that is another issue entirely!)
In other words, when using the Armblade Slash skill you will not perform a lunge, and if you have a Scorpion summoned, you will not generate Venom Novas.
