Choose which modifier to remove on death in echoes

So you get extremely unlucky with the first 2 modifiers, you reroll them, you get ever less lucky on the next 2 rolls but you choose the least worst option (+105% elemental damage). You manage somehow to survive the next 2 echoes where additional modifiers were ok. You get one shot (100 to 0 health in one shot) in the 3rd echo. A non impacting modifier is removed; you rage cause you keep having that very annoying modifer. You die again in the next echo; all the ok-modifers are removed you are just stuck with the one that one shots you…
Very frustrating!

Level 95 marksman multishot, all my resistances are beyond 75% ; 916 health ; all my items are well rolled 2 tier 5 prefixes + 2 tier 3/4 suffixes.

I’m starting to think I need to suicide the echo that gets me a horrible modifier to get rid of it early. Is that the general strategy to farm grand blessings?

I always thought that it should remove the most recent modifier or modifiers from the monoliths that you got pushed back through.

IMO, no, that would be too rewarding/less punishing and the death penalty is already not overly punishing.

Edit: I think if you’re farming blessings they just run through to the boss & ignore most of the mobs.

Hi,

That is good suggestion.

I had the same situation last night. I made mistake when i took modifier
” next x echoes enemies are deadly…”

I was stuck in that modifier some time and eventually it was removed.

It is good thing that we get punished if we are taking everything blinded or we think our 0 % resistance class cannon can take extra dmg. But if we make that mistake or we have pretty much good defenses and still get oneshotted. I think we should have that option to remove modifier we choose or
you can ”pay” removal for extra cost ( like 5 echoes backwards). So there is consequence if we ”admit our defeat” .
