Chinese players hope to restart version 1.1 or open a new server!

Due to your mistakes, you must now accept a bad price. Compared to the cost of completely dying the game, the cost of restarting may not be very high?
I have collected a lot of feedback from Chinese players so far, and they seem to prefer restarting version 1.1, as the market has completely collapsed!
Perhaps you should start voting, just like 1.0, where you voted to fix a bug in a certain profession!

Why would they restart a server, and what purpose would that serve? What collapsed and why?

Let’s see that data.

I’d argue his point was to → either restart cycle 2 / 1.1 so it have a fresh/clean save because of the economy. (duping)
Or have an extra new server to start on where people can shift over. (Like think of MMO’s which open up a new server).

  1. Would be highly arguable if this is really the right choice / neglegible as some people might make it sound… it’s always looked from the mere perspective of MG Players but ignore how it also screw up the CoF players which couldn’t care less about how screwed the Bazaar / Economy right now is.
  2. I wouldn’t even be sure if that’s possible / have the infrastructure for it but that would be up to EHG to answer.

Pretty much this. I really don’t want to be a super pessimistic person which always expect ‘lies’, but it’s always hard to take something at face-value because it’s super easy to make up things just to give your own opinion more weight.

And that’s why they can’t. Not everybody plays MG, we have no idea how many people it affects, either in total or as a % of the player base. If this happened, could we also reset all the offline cycle players as well, since they’re clearly just as affected & “at fault” & need to be punished as the CoF players.

I know I’m not concussed anymore, but that was funny af.

To be fair, numbers went down after the weekend, but you could argue that that would be expected anyway.
Yesterday we still had a 38k player peak (from 50-55k over the weekend) and we’ve had a low peak of 20k (from 30k over the weekend). So it’s not like most players left.
Many certainly did, but it’s unclear how many actually did because of this.

To be fair… I’m close to stopping for now given that the market in Legacy is a hit mess and in SC it’s actually even worse as much as I’ve seen from some streamers.

So my current motivation is to finish the Harbinger Content to see how the endboss feels like (I’m a slow player, so it takes a whiiiile) and then probably stop until MG changes come.
Depending on MG changes I might play nonstop or only to try out new released content in 1.2, EHG has options to keep me engaged but they’re lacking for now, I chose to stay heavily invested in the game because of MG and it’s been a letdown overall for now.

It’s a fair cop.
It remains to be seen what’s the ratio between MG/CoF as well. CoF players aren’t affected by this.
It also remains to be seen how many players would leave anyway after trying the new content.

So yes, while we can be certain that this was a huge blunder by EHG once again, I feel like the impact it has on actual players leaving is smaller than people make it out to be.

More CoF then MG this cycle.

Last cycle MG had issues, those weren’t fixed yet. CoF had fixes for the shortcomings though.
This means the MG problems have been expedited even further which likely causes more people to move over to CoF since it’s - currently - simply the better choice as LP items often aren’t available at all on the market starting with 2 LP but you can reasonable find them through CoF at least with some effort.

So yes, you’re right, the effect it has overall isn’t the most major one, once again MG is affected and that’s something which is a trust issue. A market is based on it functioning and trust that it isn’t tampered with. Because for me as a player, if I go to sleep today thinking ‘tomorrow I can farm on and buy stuff’ only to come back and have everything cost 50 times more… that’s a hard hit.

There was even a interview with Chris Wilson a long while ago about market and trading. His quote was basically that if such a issue happens he would immediately go back to beta for the system and re-release later on when it’s fixed as he deems it such a massive issue for the future of the game that it’s simply unsustainable.

Hey @Llama8 Sorry to call you out like this. But why do you reprehend a guy for typing “kkk” meaning billion, then find it funny when someone actually says something a white supremacist would say?

I’m from China and I’ve never seen anyone saying wanting to restart version 1.1 or a new server in one of the LE Community in China.
Where did you get the feedbacks from Chinese players from? And what’s the exact number of “a lot of” you said? Can you give any data?

Yeah, that’s fair. And it’s not like I can blame the concussion, but I might be able to leverage the autism a bit.

He didn’t really reprehend anyone. They used “1kkk” to represent billion, Llama pointed out that “1b” is less characters and joked about how the KKK are white supremacists.

Not saying that the “joke” in this thead is appropriate though, because it isn’t.

Yup. I say a lot of things that are inappropriate, probably autistic.

You didn’t make the joke though. And everyone has laughed at inappropriate jokes before. It’s why dark humor exists lol.

Wait, you actually read the thread and UNDERSTOOD it was a joke?
Congratulations, that makes you part of an extremely small minority of forum users!

As my psychologist says… If we all spoke ‘autistic’ there would be a lot less wars, or maybe 1 or 2 for the simple fact someone put our shoes an inch from its place. But still.

Edit1: that second part is my theory… not hers for clarity haha

Now I’m a bit confused.

My humour isn’t that obtuse/unfunny, no matter what my offspring say.

But if we can’t fuck with our colleagues (in a nice way), then what’s the point?

It must be cool having such a good job as the man in charge of LE players in China
