Cheat code - Necro

Surely this is either a bug, or shouldnt’ be how it works

As a necro i can die on a boss, like ive just done Lagon on the Endijng the Storm and as a necro i can die and let my minions kill the boss without respawning - and if they kill the boss the instance is considered complete. So whilst i cannot loot the boss i can still complete the instance whilst dead.
The other issue with this fight as Necro is you can do the whole 1st part of fight by standing still if you stay on the stairs side of his tentacle and let your minions kill inside the damage zone.

Both of these i would almost consider exploit, but at very least a bug or cheat code :slight_smile:

That’s a benefit of summoner classes in LE. It’s kind of exploitive and if I were in charge all your minions would die instantly with their necro master or run of if the BM dies.

So far it seems like the intended behaviour because it is like this for over a year.

aye i can get the stood behind his tentacle, but the fact i can die and as long as a single minion stays alive i can kill the boss, however, this same mechanic doesn’t work on orobyss, which make it seem more a mistake because it should either work or not work, not ‘work on some bosses’ :slight_smile: but it does make an easy class even easier which is a shame really.

Try that tactic in HC and let me know how it works out…

Doesnt really matter, it seems game breaking and shouldn’t be able to happen in a game should it?.

result would be same except you dont have to die, but be able to complete it behind his tenticle actually makes a joke of HC as you are unkillable in phase 1 - yes you still have to complete 2 and 3 (i dont have teleport, but i think phase 3 might also be same) so it would still impact HC in that platform part of boss is pointless, should be you cannot stand behind his tenticles
Even the dying bit, you wont be on HC but you will still pass th instance for the respawned softcore toon :stuck_out_tongue:

This is possible with DoT builds as well although it’s more prevalent with minion builds.

No, not that. That’s obviously an exploit. I’m talking about dying, and having minions kill your target still.

I figured that would have been obvious, but I continue to underestimate the intrawebz.

And, dying and having minions still fight is not a new thing. Many games have had this ‘feature’, and it’s part of being a minion class. You generally don’t have any personal-attack capabilities, but have these minions that do your bidding, and avenge your death. Not sure where the problem is, really.

No, minions continuing to kill a boss after you’ve died has been a known bug for years. Some time ago it used to bug out & the next mono you entered would be empty.

Yup, you can search for it in Bug Reports, the reports go back years.

No, many ARPGs keep your minions around when you die, they just stop doing damage. Some even continue with their fighting animations until you respawn.

Well if they don’t do dmg they are as good as dead :smiley: . I don’t play petclasses that often and I deeply despise them but I never had any issues in other games when it came to pets after my toon died.

I mean that they don’t do damage and they don’t receive damage, but when you spawn they’re still there with you, so you don’t have to resummon them.

This is fixed in 1.0 patch notes.
