The chat is still active while being disable. I can read but cannot type.
Edit: this happens when I connect to the game and left my chat disable. But if I enable then disable the chat it’s working as intended and is disable

Getting the same. Used to work just fine but some patch in the last 24hr has broken this. I keep chat entirely disabled, but now it turns back on (and can see global chat) every time I boot up the game again.
EDIT: Grammar.

Yeah, the latest update seems to have caused this problem. Every time you re-(start) the game, the chat is enabled again.
Yep, the channel selection in the ingame UI still doesn’t remember its setting in 0.9g2
