Chat Not Working

I disabled chat last night to stop getting distracted, and when I enabled it again today it was not working. I am unable to do the following:

  1. Enter text into the chat box.
  2. See any chat from any other players.
  3. While I can link items into the chat box, they will not submit into chat.

Hoping someone can tell me what I do about this.
