I’m sure chat issues have been discussed ad nauseum, and yes, I know it’s beta. However what I see is a lot of new players that have just installed the game, and the first thing most of them complain about is chat lagging, crashing, not staying open, etc.
It’s not fair to criticize a game that is still in beta for this, I’m only pointing out that, right or wrong, it could mean the difference between new players that stay, and ones that don’t.
I’m staying. I decided that a long time ago. Bought the ticket, taking the ride.
What you describe is exactly the result if the huge lag. There is no missing feature to “echo” what you write. It’s lagging and so it doesn’t display in time.
Chat is lagging by 30+ minutes this morning, and was delaying over an hour yesterday at times. Devs say this is because of a huge influx of new concurrent players. I’m guessing many of them are already requesting refunds, which makes some sense because if scaling text chat is this hard, that does not bode well for multiplayer.
Yeah. The first thing I check in EA games is the chat. If this isn’t working, I instantly refund.
Sadly I missed the window in LE (chat did not lag in 2019) for the refund. Now I’m stuck with this game for 2 years. Guess how I feel about it for 1k+ hours?
Yeah. Missing that window resulted in a broken nose (because I did not miss the wall the window is build in). But I made my peace with windows later as Windows 10 is working relatively fine for me.
