I’m using void cleave as travel skill (with the Gravity’s Edge node) and Rive as main skill on right mouse button. If use void cleave and after immediately press my mouse button down after the animation starts, my character will stand still for roughly 1 sec after the void cleave animation has ended before starting to use Rive.
If I leave a small cap between using the void cleave and pressing my mouse button down (but still doing it before the void cleave animation has ended), my character will immediately start using Rive as soon as the void cleave animations ends. If I release and repress the button it will also immediately start to use rive.
Not a massive bug but quite annoying as I often end up dashing to a middle of a pack and not doing anything there if I press the rive button too early :S I tested if the same bug happens with Lunge, but it seems to be working fine.
Can confirm that even without any distance enhancing node, Void Cleave still does this.
It’s kinda annoying because if you’re holding down Rive and casting VC, Rive will not start again unless you let go of the button and press it again.
Thanks for the confirmation. I was gonna switch to Lunge for travel and keep VC as utility skill, but I guess I’ll remove it completely from my skill bar until it’s fixed lol
Yeah if I could use Ravage as standalone as it used to be, I wouldn’t use Void Cleave in its current state. With the increased latency and the freeze, it’s much more dangerous than it ought to be.
I use Lunge for travel in my build anyway, since you can cast Abyssal Decay from VC and free up the skill slot for an unskilled Lunge.
I’ve been having this problem as well with Void Cleave. I’m not using any of the movement talents, pure damage. I can’t get it to happen consistently and it doesn’t happen that often, but it’s killed me a few times on bosses and oh buddy is that infuriating.
