Character spawned in End of Time without completing quests

What went wrong?
My roommate and I were playing for the first time yesterday and working through the quests. We logged out having 3 quests in our log (Campaign: The Ruined World, and Side: The Lesser Refuge & An Ancient Hunt)

Today, after getting another quest bug resolved with a second character, when I logged back into my Acolyte, they were in the End of Time, and had the campaign quests The Ruined World & the Ruined Temple both completed, and two new campaign quests in my quest log (The Immortal Empire, The Power of Mastery).

As you can see from this screenshot, the waypoints in the temple area are all locked, as I have never travelled to those locations.

Same thing happened to me a few minutes ago. Picked up the first quest, logged out hopping it would teleport me to the camp in the area so I didn’t have to walk back to get something from my chest.

Logged back in and I was in The End of Time, no way points, main story was complete up to that point, no side quests and no XP from any of the quests that had been complete.

It’s early enough in the game that I just made a new character, but still frustrating.

Same thing happened.

Was put in a higher level group by mistake. Auto completed Chapter 3-4-5 and brought me all the way to Chapter 6 in The End of Times.

Going back to the earlier waypoints does nothing.
