Hello,
My character does not exist anymore, no HC or specific configurations, just an online standard cycle character.
I’m on steam, i checked the mode (still online), and i did a file check too.
Edit: To add more details, i still have a character with the same name.
but its a level 1 character like a new one.
Do you guys have a solutions please ?

yeah same thing here with the patch. all my characters are reset to standard lvl1 template. online and offline…
edit:
solved it by verifying all my files in steam:
**right-click on Last Epoch in your Steam library, select ‘Properties’, navigate to the ‘Local Files’ tab, and click on ‘Verify integrity of game files’
I already did it 3 times and the last time was right now after reading your edit, but i’m still facing this issue 
it’s really frustrating
The deletion of the new character same name lvl 1, emptied the character list and make the old one reappear
