There is a bug where the attack speed of flurry changes when you use it right after another skill (already reported in this post)
If I play for 15m or so (I don’t know when or why exactly this happens), the attack speed of my channeled flurry increases noticeably. It feels a bit like I get a permanent “Increased attack speed” shrine buff for this game session. I can’t figure out the exact moment when my attack speed goes up, but it doesn’t happen after a shrine effect wears off, so I think that shrines have nothing to do with this. After I log out and log into the game again, the speed is lower again. I don’t know if the lower or higher speed is the correct one.
P.S.: After I experienced this a few times, I have the feeling now that the speed doesn’t skyrocket in a specific moment but rather increases the longer I play.
PPS: I tried just standing around in an echo and doing nothing. The attack speed of channeled flurry has increased by that, too.
Can confirm this is happening for me on my multishot marksman as well, playing online on Asia servers.
I’ve recorded the following videos to illustrate the difference in channeled multishot (via flurry node) over several hours of gameplay.
It’s harder to notice the difference in the videos, but in monoliths once the character starts hitting enemies and gets the attack speed buffs from passives up, it becomes quite obvious.
I couldn’t pinpoint when the change occurred exactly in my sessions (or whether it was gradual or not). Unequipping and re-equipping gear, switching skills around in the bar, changing locations or dying doesn’t seem to affect it.
One thing that may or may not be related is that upon logging in I usually experience noticeable desyncs and rubber-banding in my character’s movement although the latency bar is at 10-12 ms ping, but if I play long enough this rubber-banding goes away and this is where I usually notice the attack speed increase.
I also noticed inconsistent speed on flurry. In the latest patches it also completely bugs out… as in simply doesnt work. No sound, no damage - and you have to relog to fix it. Happens every game session.
bump. This is annoying, as you need to wait about 20 minutes each time you launch the game to get the attack speed. I don’t even know which attack speed is the normal one lol
