I truly believe Last Epoch 0.7 was at its peak pre legendary items.
Waaay less frustrating, I honestly enjoyed the game back then, building new characters and min maxing them every other week.
No way I min-max one character in a cycle now.
Iv stopped playing entirely a few days ago, won’t be comming back unless LP items, or the crafting ods drasticly change.
This game resembles D3 vanilla auction house more than any other arpg.
You mean pre 0.8.4, that was when legendary crafting was introduced.
Legendary crafting gives new potential ceilings, but items that are this good and rare can exist without being mandatory. And that is exactly how it is.
If you feel like you need those perfect legendaries I feel like that is a you problem, with setting yourself up with bad expectations
For me 0.8.4 was the patch that truely catapulted my longjevity on a per character bases to the moon. I never played singualr characters as long as I have since the legendary crafting was introduced. There is always something to improve and succeeding those legendary crafts is some of the best excitment feelings I had in ARPG’s these recent cears.
Overall I don’t think anything with the legendary system needs to change. It is one of the single best innovations in the loot driven ARPG genre in my opinion.
Another mans heaven is another mans hell.
Another mans hell is another mans heaven.
I played 0.7 and 0.8.
Yes longevity is assured through making the higer gear ceiling significantly more grindy.
I regret playing the last hundred hours, much better use of time working to then purchase the gear with real money.
But then again what is the point in playing, D3 auction house vibes.
If anyone reading has spendt real money on gold for the game, that usually isn’t a health sign.
So, instead of enjoying the base-game for what it is you want the have solely the gear and reach the end.
Gotcha.
Why are you playing this game actually? There’s a ton of ‘buy your end-result’ games out, those would be much better for your time hence.
There’s always people with a superiority complex out there which need to position themselves as superior since they otherwise think they don’t have value.
If you design around those people then you’ll never see an end. The option to deal with them is to smack them out of the game via a ban and be done.
