Cast Speed with Ghostflame?

When I remove cast speed from my ghostflame build (full AoE and moving) the in game dps meter goes down for ghostflame. I have the feast of bones node (marrow shards casts) but that’s limited to how many can be launched per second.

Is the dps meter wrong or does cast speed have an effect on ghostflame?

The dps is wrong. Cast speed only affects how quickly the spell starts for channelled spells.

Almost all of the in-game information is wrong when it comes to damage, especially on channeled abilities (like Disintegrate reading 100 million DPS but never hitting for more than 20k a tick).

I appreciate the effort, but at this point in time it leaves a lot to be desired.

All damage over time abilities apply their damage in fractions of a second. That means, they hit multiple times in one second. So obviously their DPS (= damage PER SECOND) will always be higher than the tick number above the target. That’s not a bug, that’s a feature.

Disintegrate tooltip DPS is showing nonsense due to the way the tooltip is calculated.
