Capping resistances etc.: Or how I'm likely dying because I don't know what I am doing

This mainly relates to pushing corruption levels and whatnot, getting there without knowing all this has been fine. But as the content gets harder the room for error is shrinking and I am looking to figure out my defenses better and therefore widen that gap. I have been wondering a few things and figure I’ll ask them here.

If the area level lowers resistances 1% per level does that mean my character sheet would need 175% to count as resistance capped for level 100?

Does block protect against damage to ward?

Is there a need to stack reduce damage taken over time?

What is a reasonable health amount to have when doing empowered monoliths?

Is endurance multiplicative with resistances?

No, having more than 75% is mostly useless outside of shred and other resistance-lowering effects, but these are rare and the extra resists effort is just not worth it.

If you have 50% resists due to the 75% penetration you will take 25% more damage. If you are at 75% you take neutral damage.

AFAIK yeah, ward is just as health in that regard, but doesn’t benefit of low life or endurance effects.

In very high corruption, is can became quite handy, but is lower priority compared to less damage taken on hit damage (armor/glancing blows, block…)

A good starting point would be at least 1.5k. And some extra defenses: armor, resists, block/glancing/less damage taken passives, endurance… To soon to setup all of that but keep them in mind.

EDIT: forgot about crit avoidance. At some point you want 100% crit avoidance, you can keep it up on empowered with woven flesh until you get it (common drop from abobination), or accept the deal you will be one-shotted from time to time.

Yes, and always applies even when you’re dealt damage outside of endurance range. Is a one-shot defense.
