I seem to be unable to unlock empowered monoliths, after dying to Elder Gaspar, but my minions finished him off, while i was dead on the ground.
I still got the blessing, first the quest didnt count as finished, but after a minute the quest got completed. As a result i seem to be unable to unlock empowered monoliths, i tried closing the game and relog, but nothing changed.
