In Beta I’ve used runes of removal to remove affixes down too where I could shatter a needed experimental affix. Currently you can’t do that. In fact shattering an item with only experimental on it will give you nothing. I’ve tried this several times and can’t get ANY experimental shards. So how can I ever upgrade these affixes if I can’t get more?
I don’t get it this has to be a bug where you can’t get any shards to craft with.
Experimental affixes don’t have shards. You can’t shatter them. Or rather, you can, but you won’t get shards for it. This was already like that in beta. Experimental affixes are supposed to be worked on gear that drops only, where you can seal it or craft other affixes into it, without ever changing the affix itself.
I swear I used to use runes of removal on other affixes to get too the experiemental one to shatter. Thought that was a big use for runes of removal. Since experimental stuff is so rare.
I guess I can see that game design. Idk really wanted to upgrade them.
If you did, your legacy characters would still have those shards, but they don’t because it was never possible 
Idk maybe it was a display bug and I shattered it and it said I got a shard but I really didn’t. Thanks for the info though cause what is happening now is what really matters.
No, it was a bug that you were exploiting. If you read the text on the items the affixes cannot exist as a shard is what it says, so the way you were doing it was simply a way to get around the intended workings of the affixes.
There is a rune That Seals the expeimental stat so u have room to craft so i thinhk they most of the time can roll between t1 and 5 and looks strong if u consider it is a 100 % seal on maybe a t5 stat u want
