Can't launch the game if the controller is plugged

I just bought the game and noticed that whenever I plug the ps5 controller using wire, the game won’t launch. I will launch after I unplug the controller, maybe it is a bug?

There are quite a few controller specific bugs - the devs have confirmed that while controllers do generally work with LE, they are not yet fully (100%) supported and odd things do tend to happen. They are hoping to have this all sorted by the official 1.0 release.

I dont recall anyone specifically saying the game will not load if a PS5 controller is plugged in, but its definitely possible that it could be a bug. The devs do read these bug reports so they will see this…

Please can you post your game debug log (player.log) from immediately after you experience this issue with the game not loading with the controller plugged in… There might be some debug information for the devs to review that could help them.

Nothing in that log that could explain it as far as I can see… maybe there is something in your Event Viewer that is related…

ps. you can attach the file to the forum… dont need to copy and paste - it can get a little too lengthy for the forum to handle…

also… as a side note - I am making the assumption that you have made sure that all drivers for all hardware (GPU/controllers/input devices/sound/even Bios etc), OS patches are updated and that you have verified the game files in Steam to ensure that your game is installed correctly and lastly that any third party apps are temporarily disabled/not running while testing this issue…
