It says empowered if I push m to go to map screen, it says 7/7 timelines unlocked 3/3 empowered timelines, 10/10 completed etc. When i go to fall of the outcasts or ending the storm I can choose lvl 100 (empowered) but when I go to the black sun it just gives me the normal monolith. Any suggestions? EDIT: I wonder if it’s somehow bugged. I hadn’t finished the path to 100 in this monolith before I actually finished all the other ones. I did it after the other two were empowered then had to do the path to 100 in order to get to the chest to empower the black sun, but after using the chest I couldn’t choose lvl 100. Maybe this is a bug?
Are you currently in progress at “The Black Sun” Timeline?, In case you are you have to finish the timeline or reset it (you can reset once you are like 3-4 Echoes in).
Even if you are not in progress i would still try progress a few echoes and then reset it. If that does not help, that sounds like a bug. In that case you might want to issue a bug report in the proper forum section.

I just made a related feedback to this because I encountered the same exact issue. Somehow, even if you have not done a single echo, the first time you unlocked an empowered timeline it might consider you to have “been in progress” in a timeline (maybe even if you just pass by the timeline area?).
I’m pretty sure what you can do is to do at least do 3 echoes in the level 68 timeline, then choose to reset the monolith. You should now see the option for the empowered timeline.
To devs - not sure if this is a bug in recognizing progression in a timeline. But as mentioned in discord, this whole workaround is highly unintuitive and should be refined.

For the record i’ll add that I wasn’t in progress, I just hadn’t done the second path to it yet. I did the second path in order to get to the chest that unlocks empowered, so the monolith had zero progress. I thought the reason I couldn’t empower it was because I hadn’t done the second path (lvl 100) yet. I got to the lvl 100 monolith from the other bridge (the lvl 90 one) I think once you active the chest there should also be a quest ping to the chests. I had to google search to figure out there was other chests I had to find.

So the 3/3 empowered unlocked was simply a wrong display of the interface i assume.
I don’t remember if it showed 3/3 before I actually clicked the 3rd chest. Even after I clicked the 3rd chest and it was unlocked I still had to do a few echoes and reset the monolith to empower it though. I know for sure that after I had finished the lvl 100 monolith I had to go back and unlock the bridge (I think it’s the one between ending the storm and dragon’s reign) to get to the chest that unlocks empowered black sun by doing ending the storm again and choosing lvl 100 path. then I went to black sun and did a few echoes and reset it. My last comment was simply just suggesting that there should be a quest ping for the chest because it took me a while just to figure out that I had to look for it to get my last empowered monolith (and since I didn’t even have that bridge unlocked I wasn’t going to just stumble on it). I was searching google and youtube and figured out i had to look for two more chests. then when I couldn’t find the last one I put two and two together and figured it must be on the bridge that I couldn’t go up.
No. It wasnt wrongly displayed. It’s that the timeline was considered triggered even though we hadnt started on it. So you had to either complete or reset the timeline before you can start on the empowered version.

Yes. That’s what I was saying. You had zero echoes done. But I’m saying that the game consider the timeline has “started” on the 68 timeline with zero echo. Hence why you can’t choose the empowered version.

I’ve done some coding and although I don’t know how you have written everything my best guest like I said in the original comment was that I think it was the order I did everything in. I don’t think it’s common to do it like that. the last quest I completed was unlocking the bridge between 80-100 and then clicking the chest there, which was after beating the lvl 100 monolith… and I might have even done the other empowered one before that but I can’t remember 100%. I doubt most people are doing it this way. It might have nothing to do with it but usually in my alot of bugs are because the user isn’t using the program or game the way the developer thought they would.
Oh, maybe. If the game considers it started with zero progress that would explain it.
Yup. I had the same problem with the lvl 55 monolith. And for a long time didn’t know how to activate the empowered version of the crest of the fallen.

I think I went to it thinking it was empowered and blew through it, then when I went back after I saw the option for lvl 100 version.
So I had a similar problem. I was able to do lvl 100 Abomination & Lagon timelines but not Rahyeh. Eventually I figured out the problem. In my case it was that I had not completed Outcast timeline and selected “dream of the future - unlock lvl 68 timeline”.
When I did this and reset my Black Sun monolith, I was able to select lvl 100 timeline immediately.
I suggest you try this. It seems that if you have access to Black Sun timeline without actually selecting it after completing the Outcast timeline, it does not allow you to do the empowered version.
