My friend and I were in a party. When he got to the council chamber he teleported to my location in the “End of Time”. Doing that immediately advanced his main quest to the point where you choose your mastery even though he was only level 5. Now his main quest continues from the End of Time and he can’t go back to the Council Chamber to follow where he left off.
Same issue on my game, but from a different point in the questline - IInvited a friend to my party who was farther in the game than me. He was unable to teleport to me, (his teleport kept timing out) and so I ended up teleporting to him. I had just completed The Fate of the Refuge / Sanity in the Darkness Quests, and it replaced my Main questline with two End of Time quests, an area that I haven’t reached story-wise, and now no longer have a quest to play through to reach it.
