New updates have not resolved this issue. This issue exists on Steam Deck, and on desktop PC with an Xbox Elite 2 controller. On desktop, I’ve tried both with Steam Input enabled and disabled. For Steam Deck, I tried the native client and also streamed via Remote Play in both the game mode and in desktop mode. All results are the same.
All I’m trying to do is move the skill binds and potion binds to a different order. If it matters, I’m trying to do:
X = Use Ability 5 (RMB on KBM)
LS = Use Ability 1
RS = Use Ability 2
LT = Use Ability 3
RT = Use Ability 4
Y = Use Potion
B = Use Portal
Right Stick Button = Minion Attack Command
Here’s an example of the issue:
Step 1) Using gamepad (because mouse nav for rebinding gamepad inputs is borked), enter the Change Input Keys menu, nav to Use Potion, hit A, nav to Remove, hit A. Use Potion is no longer bound to LS.
Step 2) Navigate to Use Ability 1, remove the bind the same way as Step 1. Result is screenshot 1: screenshot 1
Step 3) Scroll through all the binds to confirm Left Shoulder no longer has a mapping visible.
Step 4) Navigate back up to Use Ability 1, hit A. Wait 5 seconds for timer to expire. Press Left Shoulder when prompted. (You can skip the timer by pressing A but the result is the same.)
The result is screenshot 2: screenshot 2 “Left Shoulder is already in use cannot be replaced.” (The typo is in the message box as well, not my error)
You can repeat this process for pretty much any other rebind and you’ll get the same result.
I’ve also tried unbinding both X and LS, leaving the menu to ‘commit’ the changes, exiting the game, re-entering, and then trying to bind the keys. Same error message.
