I swore I read somewhere that if you have points invested in a skill tree with a critical strike modifier, it cancels the modifiers of critical strike items – at least for that skill. For example, if a fireball skill increases critical strike chance, you won’t get the bonus from “increased critical strike” item affixes on top of that. Is this true? Or do they stack? Or is it just for that specific skill that gets canceled (in this example, only the fireball skills will apply when using the fireball skill – not the item affixes… but if another skill was used that doesn’t have points in critical modifiers, then the item affixes do apply)?
