This has been asked so many times. Todays update didn’t really fix anything.
What is the benefit of using WASD? So you can walk backwards while still firing to what you’re facing. But that just completely goes out the windows, when you’re also moving with the LMB. Also, there still seem to be correlation issues between LMB to move and WASD.
I’ve made a short clip about this. First, I show how it should be with LMB and WASD, second part is default. https://youtu.be/UxpIXk_j2Cg
WASD is incredibly frustrating when compared to how it works in PoE2.
There’s a really simple solution; when using WASD, remove ‘move’ from the LMB. You can only assign a skill, or move to break. There’s literally zero reason to ever need LMB to move when you have WASD. Or at least make an option where we can switch this off.
You can reassign LMB to another slot than move… I assign it to Action 4… it should have this by default in the WASD keybind.
The REAL problem with WASD, is that we need a movement mode “only evade -follows movement”… it’s not possible to keep holding a diagonal WASD direction (aka 2 keys) and then press a skill which is supposed to go in that direction. The only “movement ability” we can use in the WASD direction is evade, on spacebar, our thumb.
Be like EVERY OTHER PC GAME with WASD, and give us “only evade follows WASD movement, everything else follows mouse”… PLEASE.
I have reassigned it. LMB is my Action 1 and Lshift is my interact button. But that shouldn’t be necesarry if Move was just removed from the ‘move and use skill’ button, since you don’t ever need to use move with LMB (or any other keys than WASD). You only need mouse to point, fire skills and interact.
